Leave behind the hustle and bustle of Cork City as you board our luxury coach for your Cliffs of Moher day tour. Drive through historic Cork City, with views of King John’s Castle (Limerick) and further on, the River Shannon. Have your camera at the ready to capture these highlights as we make our way towards County Clare on Ireland’s Atlantic coast.
The highlight of your day is without a doubt the fantastic Cliffs of Moher, where you’ll have a 1.5 hour visit (approx.) to ensure that you can enjoy this stunning location to the max! The Cliffs tower above the roaring Atlantic Ocean below and provide awe-inspiring views out over the ocean towards the Aran Islands. Beyond that, it is nothing but ocean as far as the coast of North America. Gaze out over the cliffs and see if you can spot one of the large gannet and puffin populations, which inhabit the area. Take time to stroll along the cliff edges and enjoy a wander around the beautiful visitor center, which houses a visitor experience, gift shop and café.
We leave behind the Cliffs of Moher en route to the coastal village of Doolin. Here you’ll have time to enjoy a traditional Irish lunch and perhaps a pint of ‘the black stuff’ – surrounded by stunning ocean views and rugged beaches.
The next stop of our itinerary is the fantastic and unique ‘Burren‘ region. A lunar landscape, which dates back as far as hundreds of millions of years – the region is unique in that flora and fauna of Mediterranean, Alpine and Arctic inhabit it side by side. You’ll have ample time to explore this barren and fascinating region – make sure you have your camera at the ready.
Following our departure from the Burren, we enjoy a scenic drive along Galway Bay. Our next stop will take in the historic and enchanting Bunratty Castle – one of Ireland’s most historic. Enjoy the opportunity for plenty of photos of this impressive castle and enjoy a coffee and a spot of relaxation before we continue on our return journey to Cork.
Enjoy a relaxing drive back to Cork City. Our route takes us along the lush green hills of the ‘Golden Vale‘ – some of Ireland’s most renowned agricultural land. Arriving back to Cork by approximately 18:00 – you’ll have memories of Ireland’s ‘Wild Atlantic West‘ that will truly last a lifetime.
