  • Day 1 - Dublin - Connemara - Galway

Begin your day with a personalized pick-up from your accommodation, as your private driver-guide escorts you westward from Dublin. Passing through the rich, peaty lowlands of the Irish midlands, you’ll soon arrive at the charming village of Cong in County Mayo. Known for its tranquil beauty and as the filming location for the classic 1952 movie The Quiet Man starring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara, Cong offers visitors a chance to soak up a nostalgic atmosphere. Key highlights include the ruins of Cong Abbey and the nearby Ashford Castle, now a luxurious retreat frequented by celebrities and dignitaries.

Continuing west, your journey enters the heart of Connemara, a region celebrated for its untamed natural beauty and historical significance. This rugged terrain—marked by shimmering lakes, windswept mountains, and remote coastal inlets—was one of the hardest hit areas during the Great Irish Famine of the 1840s. Your guide will share moving stories from this period as you travel through landscapes that remain largely unchanged since that time. Don’t miss the opportunity to stop in Spiddal (An Spidéal), a small coastal village where Irish Gaelic is still widely spoken, offering a rare glimpse into Ireland’s living linguistic heritage.

The final leg of the day brings you to Galway City, a vibrant cultural hub on Ireland’s west coast. With its lively streets, bohemian spirit, and strong Gaelic roots, Galway offers a dynamic blend of tradition and modern flair. As night falls, dive into the city’s thriving food scene or unwind in one of its many iconic pubs—where live music, friendly locals, and perhaps a rendition of Galway Girl await.

NB: did you know that many of the historic Chateaux in Bordeaux have Irish heritage? Familiar labels such as Lynch, Barton, Kirwan, Clarke, Phelan, Dillon and MacCarthy owe their names to sons of Ireland - perhaps see if you can find a bottle on this evenings wine list and toast to the cultural links between Ireland and France!

  • Day 2 - Galway - Cliffs of Moher and Burren - Killarney

After a relaxed morning and breakfast, your driver-guide will greet you to begin another day along Ireland’s stunning Wild Atlantic Way—an iconic coastal route recognized by major travel authorities like Lonely Planet, Condé Nast Traveler, and Travel + Leisure.

The day starts with brief visits to the picturesque Dunguaire Castle and the atmospheric ruins of Corcomroe Abbey, both offering rich glimpses into Ireland’s medieval past. From here, you'll enter the striking limestone terrain of the Burren. This otherworldly region may seem barren at first glance, but it’s home to an incredible variety of plant and animal life. If you're in the mood for a walk, your guide will suggest great scenic spots for a short hike among the rocks and wildflowers.

By lunchtime, you’ll reach the charming seaside village of Doolin in County Clare—well known as a stronghold of Irish folk music. While the nightly tunes might not be in full swing just yet, there are several welcoming pubs and restaurants serving traditional dishes made from local ingredients. Notable choices include O’Connor’s Pub and Fitzpatrick’s (Fitzer’s), favorites among visitors and locals alike.

Next, make your way to one of Ireland’s most iconic natural wonders: the Cliffs of Moher. Towering above the Atlantic Ocean, these dramatic sea cliffs stretch for miles and offer breathtaking views. On a clear day, you might see the Aran Islands in the distance or catch the shimmer of Galway Bay. Don’t miss the Atlantic Edge experience, an immersive exhibition that tells the story of the cliffs, followed by a visit to the café and local craft shop.

Your scenic journey continues as you cross the River Shannon, heading into County Limerick. A short break at Bunratty Castle offers time for photos and refreshments. As the drive continues, you’ll pass through the storybook village of Adare, often called Ireland’s prettiest town, thanks to its thatched cottages and colorful gardens.

You’ll arrive in Killarney by early evening—just in time to enjoy the lively local music scene or settle in for a restful night, depending on your pace. Whether you're seeking lively ceol agus craic (music and fun) or a peaceful evening, Killarney offers the perfect end to a memorable day.

  • Day 3 - Killarney - Ring of Kerry - Killarney

Embark on an unforgettable adventure around the Ring of Kerry—a route famed for its spellbinding scenery and rich heritage. Picture rolling green hills, sweeping coastal panoramas, and timeworn monastic hideaways nestled in rugged landscapes, and you'll start to grasp the essence of this iconic journey.

Your route may include charming towns like Killorglin, panoramic views across Dingle Bay and Inch Beach, the winding beauty of Moll’s Gap, and the quirky ‘Leprechaun crossing’. Discover Waterville, known for its world-class golf, admire the breathtaking Ladies’ View, stroll near the peaceful Lakes of Killarney, and explore the magical Torc Waterfall. Out in the Atlantic, you may spot the dramatic Skellig Islands—ancient spiritual retreats and, more recently, a cinematic location in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

A relaxed midday stop allows for lunch and local flavor, followed by a deeper exploration of the area in the afternoon. Return to Killarney in the late afternoon / early evening, where you’ll have time to unwind with excellent food and drink and perhaps enjoy a session of lively traditional music—your local guide will be happy to share their favorite hidden gems.

  • Day 4 - Killarney - Blarney Castle - Dublin

Departing Killarney, your day begins with a scenic journey through the dramatic landscapes of Counties Cork and Kerry, as you make your way to one of Ireland’s most iconic landmarks—Blarney Castle. This enchanting medieval fortress has captivated travelers for generations. Explore its fascinating rooms and wander through its beautifully landscaped gardens, perfect for a gentle stroll and some quiet reflection.

No trip here would be complete without a visit to the famous Blarney Stone—legend says a kiss will bless you with the gift of eloquence! After your castle adventure, take some time at Blarney Woollen Mills, known for its wide array of Irish-made textiles, knitwear, and charming keepsakes. There’ll be ample time to shop or grab a bite to eat before continuing your route back to Dublin.

As you travel through the pastoral beauty of the Golden Vale, Ireland's fertile heartland stretching across parts of Cork and Tipperary, take in the sweeping green vistas that define this region. You’ll return to Dublin by early evening, with drop-off at either your hotel or Dublin Airport. If you're extending your stay, your guide will be happy to suggest the best spots in the city to explore, dine, or enjoy a final pint of Guinness.

Update: Friday 30th May 2025

Ireland is currently at full employment. Many drivers exited the hospitality industry during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic (as hospitality was shut for two years) and there is currently a relative shortage of the very best talent.

With the United States Dollar at its strongest level vs the Euro in 20 years (and with tariffs likely to reinforce this trend through season 2025), we are currently experiencing a sharp increase in demand from our principal markets in the US, UK, EU and Arabian Gulf. As our availability sells out for the period ahead, rates will rise as demand outstrips remaining supply.

Accordingly, we encourage guests to secure preferred dates for the coming season as early as possible.

June 2025 (Peak Season)
Rates quoted now will rise by approximately 15% as demand surpasses supply approaching departure. Individual dates likely to sell out in advance due to presence of some of the world's largest cruise ships at Dublin, Cork and Belfast. Rates can be fixed by deposit.
