  • Day 1: Cliffs of Moher - Doolin - A 250 year old pub - Galway

Your driver will collect you from the front door of your hotel or private accommodation this morning. A start time of 08:00 is recommended to maximise your experience.

The route takes you south- west through the patchwork quilt of Ireland's agricultural heartlands, arriving at Cliffs of Moher mid- morning. The Cliffs are one of Ireland's most evocative images and you'll understand why when you stand on the edge of Europe with the Atlantic air in your face. The Cliffs stretch for approx 10km and rival some of Manhattan's skyscrapers in height. Enjoy ample time here for relaxation and to soak up the sights and photo opportunities.

Lunch can be taken at the Cliffs or at the nearby village of Doolin which has a church, a school and a handful of pubs serving pub fare and a selection of great local beers.

This afternoon continue the journey to Galway city through the unique limestone Burren region with its postcard traditional stone walls and Atlantic vistas.

Depending on how time has been allocated earlier in the day, many guests like to stop off for a pint at Moran's Oyster Cottage of Kilcogan - where the Moran family have been running a pub and oyster bar from their thatched cottage on the weir for the last 250 years.

Your driver will drop you to the door of your Galway city hotel in time for some rest, refreshments and amazing evening entertainment options in this most Gaelic of Irish towns.

  • Day 2: Galway - Connemara - Kylemore - Ballynahinch Castle

Today you continue to Connemara, an area of outstanding natural beauty to the north of Galway city.

Depending on the weather and what you feel like doing today, there are a number of ways you can approach the day ahead (as the ground to be covered is not so great and this offers a degree of flexibility).

    The main options include;

    A) Sightseeing at leisure in Galway City

    B) A visit to Kylemore Abbey & Victorian Walled Gardens in Connemara

    and / or

    C) Heading to Ballynahinch Castle relatively early (guaranteed check- in is typically from 15:00) to enjoy the facilities, soak up the atmosphere and savour an aperitif before dinner.

Have a chat with your driver well ahead of time and he can advise based on your interests and all of the local considerations and limitations.

  • Day 3: Ballynahinch Castle - Rossaveel (Ferry to Inis Mór) - Dublin

Enjoy an early breakfast this morning (service begins at 08:00). The ferry which takes you across Galway Bay to Inis Mór (the largest of the three Aran Islands) departs Rossaveel at 10:30 so your driver will be ready for a 09:00 start.

Although your driver must stay on the mainland with his vehicle, he'll have your tickets in advance and will check you in to the largest of the ferries for a quick and comfortable crossing.

Inis Mór can easily be explored on foot but there are a number of local transport options which can be booked separately dockside including bicycles, horse and cart and private vans.

Depending on the season, the return ferry typically departs Inis Mór at 16:00 or 17:00. Your driver will be waiting for you dockside and will transfer you comfortably back to Dublin where your tour ends.

Ferry times are seasonal and are subject to change by the operator.

Private Tours typically range from EUR 695.00 – EUR 1,895.00+ per vehicle per day including a driver- guide (& his overnight expenses), fuel, road tolls and associated taxes. Guest accommodation & entrance fees are not included in the above guideline to facilitate guest flexibility.

Tours are priced individually according to the route, group size, distances & hours required, date(s) in question, start & end locations, overnight locations (where applicable) and remaining supply at time of booking.
