DAY 1 | ARRIVE BELFAST Arrive Belfast or Dublin. You are welcomed on arrival and taken to your central Belfast hotel, home for the next 6 nights. DAY 2 | BELFAST IN DEPTH Discover why Lonely Planet regards this city amongst the top 10 ‘Must-see’ destinations on earth. The Black Taxi tour to view the infamous political murals is strongly recommended, whilst the Titanic Quarter offers fascinating insights into the birth of the famous ocean liner. DAY 3 | MOUNTAINS OF MOURNE “Where the Mountains of Mourne come down to the sea is such a long, long way from Tipperary!” Visit the coastal town of Newcastle and see the world famous Mountains of Mourne and beautiful Silent Valley. DAY 4 | GIANT’S CAUSEWAY & BUSHMILLS Cruise the gorgeous Antrim Coast to the (UNESCO) Giant’s Causeway. Afterwards explore the ruins of Dunluce Castle and enjoy a “wee dram” at the oldest licensed whiskey distillery in the world- Bushmills. (BELFAST / SURROUNDS)
DAY 5 | HISTORIC DERRY / LONDONDERRY Enjoy a walking tour of the last fully intact city walls in Europe. Visit the Bogside area, location of the 1972 Bloody Sunday massacre of Civil Rights marchers by the elite British Parachute Regiment and genesis of U2’s anti – war anthem ‘Sunday, Bloody Sunday‘. Later, savour the catch of the day in a nearby fishing village and discover the ancient Celtic fortress of “Grianan of Aileach”. (BELFAST / SURROUNDS)
DAY 6 | FERMANAGH LAKE DISTRICT Drive through the countryside of Fermanagh to 600 year old Enniskillen Castle- a garrison fort and barracks boasting two museums. Later, visit Belleek Fine Pottery, enjoy a boat trip to Lough Erne’s Devenish Island or visit the spectacular Marble Arch Caves- a natural underworld of rivers and waterfalls.
DAY 7 | DEPART Relaxing private transfer to Belfast Airport or Dublin for your flight home. Alternatively, continue to your next Irish destination.
