Explore the Connemara national park – one of Europe’s most beautiful areas of wilderness, lakes and mountains. Next stop is the village of Cong – setting of the classic ‘Quiet Man’, featuring John Wayne and Maureen O Hara. Enjoy the chance to visit historic Cong Abbey and to take in the dramatic Connemara views. Our day of sightseeing comes to a close with a short onward transfer to Galway – Ireland’s capital of culture. Take the evening at your leisure – making sure to check out some of the fantastic live Irish music and fresh Atlantic seafood.

Day 2: Galway- Sligo – Derry/ Londonderry
Enjoy breakfast at your leisure ahead of departing Galway. A morning drive north will bring you through Co. Sligo – a coastal county, which was home to one of Ireland’s finest poets -W.B. Yeats. Take the opportunity to visit his graveside, which is overlooked by the dramatic Benbulbin mountain. Today’s lunch stop will be at the coastal village of Strandhill – one of Ireland’s top surfing spots. After lunch, a quick stop at the portal tomb of Creevykeel offers fantastic insight into early pagan Ireland. Enter Northern Ireland this evening for your overnight stay in the historic town of Derry/Londonderry.

Day 3: Donegal National Park
On the agenda this morning is an insightful walking tour of Derry’s historic walls and Bogside district (location of the historic ‘Bloody Sunday’ massacre). Your local guide will give you an interesting account into the city’s tough political history, and you’ll have plenty of opportunity to photograph some of the ancient architecture that Derry has to offer. We continue on towards Co. Donegal, where a tour of Glenveagh National Park awaits us. The highlight of the park – ‘Grianán of Áileach’ is an ancient fortress, dating back well over 3,000 years. If you’re lucky enough to visit here on a clear day, you’ll be treated to magnificent views of the Ulster province. With another day of touring behind you – its time to continue on towards your overnight stop in Derry or Belfast.

Day 4: Derry-Giant’s Causeway
A fantastic adventure awaits you today, as the tour sets out on a coastal drive towards the Giant’s Causeway. This world-renown UNESCO heritage site attracts millions of visitors each year and is an absolute must-see when visiting Northern Ireland. Our drive along the Antrim coast includes stops at the Carrick –A- Rede rope bridge (work up the courage to walk across – it’s worth it for the views alone!) and the ruins of the mysterious Dunluce Castle. Our visit to the Dark Hedges and photo stop for some wonderful views over Ballintoy harbor never fails to delight fans of ‘Game of Thrones’. A late afternoon arrival into Belfast allows for plenty of time to enjoy dinner and entertainment in Northern Ireland’s capital.

Day 5: Belfast – Dublin
The final day of touring kicks off with a visit to the Titanic museum – Belfast’s number-one visitor attraction. Experience the full story of the ill-fated ship, from her construction right here in Belfast, to her tragic end in the North Atlantic in April 1912. Next on the agenda is a comprehensive city tour, taking in highlights such as Belfast City Hall, Queen’s University and the Botanic Gardens. Consider taking an optional (and highly recommended) “Black Taxi Tour’ of Belfast which takes you through the city’s turbulent political history in the hands of an expert local guide. With Belfast ticked off the bucket list, you’ll set out on the 2-hour return drive to Dublin. En route, we make time to stop at the ruins of ancient Celtic monastery ‘Monasterboice’.
