WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM YOUR PRIVATE TOUR

Day 1:

Set out on your exclusive tour by meeting your private-hire vehicle and guide at the pre-selected location of your choice. You’ll begin your drive south of Dublin into the heart of Ireland’s fertile agricultural plains – a patchwork of green fields. We’ll hit the very south of Ireland with a visit to Cobh – the beautiful coastal village from which the Titanic made her final departure in 1912. Highlights for you to visit will include St. Coleman’s Cathedral and a moving Titanic memorial, which was recently erected here. We continue our drive as far as Cork City, where you can take some time to enjoy a lunch break – the perfect opportunity to sample some of Ireland’s finest artisan produce. The perfect setting for this is the ‘English Market’ – a food market so tempting that it was paid a visit by the Queen of England during her historic visit to Ireland in 2011. Post-lunch, you’ll have the chance to while away the afternoon at one of Ireland’s most incredible castles – Blarney! The castle dates all the way back to sometime around the year 1200 and has long been one of Ireland’s most iconic sights. The castle is surrounded by fabulous gardens, which we encourage you to check out – and no guest is allowed to continue the tour without kissing the Blarney Stone! A kiss of the stone is rumored to bestow upon you what we Irish like to call ‘the gift of the gab’ – essentially the talent for elaborate and over-the-top storytelling! We make a stop at the Blarney Woolen Mills – a fantastic outlet specializing in hand-knitted Irish goods. It is then time to return to Cork city, where you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation for the night. Be sure to get out and about tonight to experience the nightlife and fine dining that the city offers.

Day 2:

Our second day of touring begins with a relaxing drive westward. You’ll drive along the Golden Vale, where you can gaze out at some of Ireland’s greenest and most lush landscapes. We’ll make a quick stop in Limerick city – where you’ll have the opportunity to get the camera out and snap some pictures of the River Shannon and King John’s Castle. Hitting the west coast, we’ll begin a fabulous drive along the ‘Wild Atlantic Way’ – a famed stretch of road located along the south-west Atlantic Coast. Think silver-strands, raging Atlantic surf and potential dolphin sightings – as these are what sum up the beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way. We take time to visit the Burren, an awe-inspiring region of limestone rock, which is home to a combination of flora unseen elsewhere in the world. This was a key region in the tragic history of the Irish Potato Famine – which took place between the years of 1845-49 and saw Ireland’s population dramatically decline due to death and emigration. Your guide will be on hand to fill you in on the events surrounding the famine and how it shaped the history of the Irish people, both at home and abroad. We make our next stop in Doolin – a charming village sitting on the Atlantic shore, which is best known for its thatched roofs and traditional music. You’ll enjoy some time here to enjoy a relaxing lunch with plenty of eatery options to choose from. After lunch it’s time to prepare for one of the highlights of any visit to Ireland – the Cliffs of Moher! Towering above a stretch of our raging Atlantic Coast, the Cliffs really are an incredible sight to see! Enjoy gazing out at the very edge of Western Europe – taking in views of the Aran Islands and Galway bay in the distance – beyond that -its nothing but ocean as far as the shores of North America. Your party will have lots of time to walk along the cliff route and visit to the fantastic ‘Atlantic Edge Exhibition’, gift shop and café. We depart from the Cliffs with a short drive to Bunratty Castle, situated in a charming village in Co. Clare. Take the opportunity to snap some pictures and enjoy some refreshments here, before we begin the comfortable drive back to Dublin City.

You’ll conclude this fantastic private 2 day adventure in Dublin city this evening, with a drop off at the location of your choice. Your guide will be happy to recommend some fantastic options for the best of nightlife and dining that Dublin has to offer.
